Question: It is allowed in Islam to name myself Qayyumullah?

Qayyumullah is not a name to choose. It means someone who is sustaining Allah. No mortal claim to sustain Allah. Allah alone is the Creator and Self-Subsisting Source (Qayyum) of all of the creation. Therefore, I would urge you to choose an Islamic name. There is no shortage of good names to choose from: Here are a few of them:

Abd Allah, Abd al-Rahman, Abd al-Qayyum, Abd al-Kareem, Abd al-Jabbar, Abd al-Quddus, Abd al-Bari, Abd al-Razzaq. You may also choose any of the beautiful names of prophets such as Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, Ayyub, Yunus, Yusuf, Muhammad, etc.

I pray to Allah to inspire us to make the right decisions.
