Question: What can a Muslim male who has homosexual urges do ? I have never committed the action with another male. I feel suicidal every day. I never wanted these feelings and I've had them since I was small. Du'a seems pointless and forsaken. I don't know what to do. Is there any cure? I understand and I believe that my situation is a just test from Allah exalted however it is unbearable . My soul feels like death while my body lingers alive.
Answer:

I advise you to seek professional counseling; for it is my strong feeling that you need to overcome these suicidal feelings. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered us to seek treatment and take medications when we are not feeling good. Your condition does not seem to be normal; so you owe it to yourself to receive proper treatment. You should combine treatment with the spiritual healing. Let me suggest some du'as you may recite daily  along with medications:

As you wake up perform your morning Prayer and then spend a few minutes making dhikr and du'as as follows:

1) Read subhana Allah (33 times), al-hamdu lillaah (33 times) Allahu akbar (33 times) then complete it saying:

laa ilaaha illa Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lahu lahu al-mulku walahu al-hamdu wahuwa 'alaa kulli shay'in qadeer

(There is no god but Allah; He is One and has no partner. All power and praise solely belong to Him; and He has sovereignty over all things.)

radhiytu billaahi rabban wa bi al-islaami deenan wa bi Muhammadin nabiyyan wa rasoolan

( I am well pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion and Muhammad as the Prophet and Messenger of Allah.)

bismillahi al-lladhee laa yahdurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fi al-ardhi walaa fi al-ssama'i wa huwa al-ssamee'u al-'aleem

(In the name of Allah. With His name, nothing on earth or heaven can inflict any harm. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.).

hasbiya Allah laa ilaaha illaa huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wahuwa rabbu al-'arshi al-azheem

(Allah is sufficient for me; there is NO god beside Him. I place my trust in Him. He is the Lord of the Mighty throne.)

Allaahumma habbib ilayya al-iemaana wa zayyinhu fee qalbee wa karrih ilayya al-kufra wa al-fusooqa wa al-'isyaana

(O Allah, make faith dear to my heart, and adorn my heart with it.  And grant that I loathe disbelief, sins, and transgressions.)

Allaahumma tahhir qalbee wa ahsin farjee

(O Allah, cleanse my heart off all sinful thoughts and help me to remain chaste.)

You should read the same again before retiring to bed. I pray to Allah to cure you of your condition and help you to remain steadfast on the straight path.
