Alcohol is not impure, according to the preferred view of eminent scholars; Allah says it has certain benefits in it while it may entail great harm; so we are forbidden not to consume it. There is no harm in using it for external use, especially if alternatives are not available.

So, as long as you take care to spit it out, you may use it as a mouth wash.
