It is essential that  you try to find a female driving instructor, for, in Islam, you are not allowed to be alone with a man.  The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "When a man and woman isolate with each other,  they are likely to be joined by a third companion: Devil".  Fornication is one of the gravest of sins; however, it does not happen spontaneously; rather it is preceded by leads or incentives: isolation is putting oneself in a situation where devil may whisper evil suggestions; it may be followed by impure thoughts, looks, flirting and then the atrocious act itself.

Therefore, I urge you not to let yourselves to be isolated with a male. If you care enough to find a female instructor you will find one with the help of Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever seeks to remain chaste, Allah will make them chaste".
