Question: Assalamulaikum Brother I had a dream a few nights ago I was watching a magician cause a pendant with Allah SWT's name on it. I exclaimed "That is a jinn's doing!" The jinn then appeared and it seemed angry. It said something I didn't understand and then it started coming towards me. I was half awake and half asleep so I was terrified and I began to recite Ayat ul Kursi. As I recited this the jinn burned into nothing. Then someone started to recite the Adhan I don't know who's voice it was. And then I felt my torso being lifted upwards and the feeling was so unusual and somewhat scary that I woke myself up. But I was so sleepy that I fell back asleep and had the same dream but this time the Adhan went on longer and I was raised higher. I woke myself up again. Brother can you tell what this dream means and if it is a good dream or bad dream? Jazakallahu Khairun brother!
Answer:

I do not interpret dreams. However, it does not take an interpreter of dreams to say that this dream is a true one; since it clearly shows the effects of aayat al-kursi and adhaan. So, there is no need for you to be concerned about it; rather you should be happy.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Nothing remains of prophecy except true visions, which a believer may experience (from time to time)."  (Reported by Bukhari) Your vision resembles one of them. I would therefore urge to never to be slack in your performance of salah or practice of dhikr. The Qur'an and the Sunnah reiterate the fact that the best protection against the evil spirits is dhikr; it is also the sure means of drawing close to Allah, and thus achieving tranquility and peace of mind.

I pray to Allah to honor us all to be practice dhikr and thus come close to Him.
