Question: Salam Mualaikom. Could u plase help my with my question about illness which I am suffering from?Im 21 years old and my housband is from Algeria. Im have a family illness called low level of Anthitrombin III which means high level of risk to get a blood clots in my vain such as my legs lungs. If the blood clot moves from vain it can couse also heart attack brain colapse or sudden death. Since i was 13 i on injekction - blood thinner called heparin when i get better im on tablets warfarin. I have also family history especially from women sides. I had misscariage in november last year which is probably also something to do with my illness. I have also anemia so i have take tablets for this as well. My heamatologist that drink a lots of water is very important to protect my from clothing. Im confused about fasting in holy Ramadan. Im allow to fast if have this illness?I did try to fast 4 days since then i have pain in my right leg and i have few brust on it. Please if u could answer my question because i want to fast but i dont know if there is any chance i can do that easier way and not end up in hospital. I have saving money from where i want to pay Zakat on Eiht. Thank for answer and happy Ramadan.

There is no need for you to worry over this. Allah has categorically stated in the Qur'an that if anyone is sick or travelling, then let them fast other days'. And, as for those who cannot make up due to an incurable affliction, they should give fidyah which entails feeding a poor person for each day. If, however, a person cannot pay it due to lack of  resources, they can pay later; if they couldn't do so, they are excused.

Allah reminds us in the Qur'an on numerous occasions that His laws are not intended to create pain or make us suffer unnecessarily; rather they are intended to bring ease and comfort.
